Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all activity packages, tours and events at the Alive Outside Adventure Centre, Killruddery Estate, Bray, Co Wicklow. Your use of the centre signifies your agreement to these terms.

1. Participant Consent & Declarations

Consent Form Requirement

All visitors must sign a Consent Form before participating in any activities. This form must be signed digitally in advance of arrival. Group Managers / Lead Bookers will receive a link to the Consent Form by email upon booking. Participants under 18 must have the Consent Form signed by a parent or guardian.

Personal Declaration

By accepting these Terms & Conditions, participants acknowledge that Alive Outside is not liable for personal injury or accidents that may occur. Participation is entirely at the individual’s risk.

Medical Consent

In the event of injury or illness, participants give consent to emergency transportation and the administration of first aid or medical treatment as deemed necessary.

2. Group Manager / Lead Booker Responsibilities

  • Group Leaders / Lead Bookers, including organisers of groups containing children and/or adult, are responsible for ensuring that all participants are aware of the risks involved, have signed the Consent Form and comply with Alive Outside rules and safety instructions.
  • Group Leaders must ensure that accurate participant information, including any medical conditions or other relevant details, is provided to Alive Outside before arrival.
  • Group Leaders must inform participants of necessary attire, equipment and arrival times.

3. Responsibilities of Individual Participants

General Requirements

  • Each participant is responsible for arriving on time to the Alive Outside Adventure Centre in Killruddery and being fully prepared for the activities.
  • Participants must follow all safety instructions and comply with all directions provided by Adventure Centre staff.

Disclosure of Health Conditions

  • Participants must disclose any medical conditions, allergies or limitations before the activities to ensure appropriate accommodations can be made.

Behaviour

  • Participants are expected to act respectfully, responsibly, and in accordance with Adventure Centre rules at all times.
  • Disruptive, unsafe or inappropriate behaviour, including excessive intoxication, consuming alcohol during activities or arriving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, is strictly prohibited.
  • Such behaviour may compromise the safety and enjoyment of others and will result in immediate removal without refund.
  • Alive Outside reserves the right to determine what constitutes inappropriate behaviour and take necessary action to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.

4. Insurance

Alive Outside strongly recommends that each participant obtains Personal Accident Cover to protect against personal accidents or other risks in the unlikely event of injury.

5. Physical Condition & Health

Participant Health

Participants should consult a healthcare professional if they have health concerns regarding physical activities at Alive Outside. For water-based activities, participants must be able to swim.

Medical Conditions

Participants with pre-existing conditions must consult a healthcare professional and notify Adventure Centre staff to ensure appropriate precautions.

Infectious Diseases

Alive Outside operates in a natural farm environment, which may expose participants to various wildlife. Alive Outside encourages all participants to be aware of the symptoms of infectious diseases that can be acquired through contact with wild or domestic animals or their environs. In the unlikely event of you developing any symptoms after you visit to the Adventure Centre, you should see a medical professional immediately. 

By accepting these Terms & Conditions, you agree to the risks associated with taking part in activities located in the natural habitat of these plants and animals. Alive Outside does not accept liability for any illness contracted – everyone takes part at their own risk.

6. Payment & Refund Policy

Booking Confirmation

Bookings are confirmed upon completion of payment. As the booking is for a specific event on a specific date, you are not entitled to a refund if you cannot attend. However, you may be able to move your booking to another date, subject to availability. 

Deposits

For certain activities, a deposit is required. The remaining balance must be paid at least seven (7) working days before the event date. Failure to pay may result in booking cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit.

7. Booking Changes & Rescheduling Policy

Rescheduling by Alive Outside

Up to 24 hours beforehand, activities may be postponed due to severe weather or safety concerns. Participants will be offered alternative dates or a refund, provided they respond within 48 working hours. Alive Outside is not liable for any associated costs, such as travel or accommodation. 

8. Photography & Image Rights

Alive Outside may take group photographs or videos during events for promotional use. By participating, you consent to this usage. If you would like any image removed from our platforms, please email info@aliveoutside.ie.

9. General Rules 

Conduct & Compliance

All participants must comply with with Alive Outside’s rules and regulations. Violators may be removed without refund. 

Property & Belongings

Alive Outside is not liable for loss or damage to personal property.

Safety Attire & Equipment

Participants should wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather conditions and the terrain. Safety equipment must be used as directed.

10. Website Policy

Alive Outside strives for accurate online information but accepts no liability for errors. For privacy, security and data handling policies, refer to the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimer

  • Alive Outside reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions without notice. Participants are responsible for reviewing these terms regularly. 
  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by Irish law and disputes fall under Irish court jurisdiction.
  • Alive Outside accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, inconvenience or any other claims arising from factors beyond our control, for example, third-party contractors, weather, terrorism or government actions. We reserve the right to modify events and refuse or retain participants as deemed necessary.
