Diabetes Ireland Family Fun Day 2026
The aim is simple — a day where families, children and adults can take part at their own pace, try something new and spend proper time together outdoors. Whether someone is attending for the first time or has been part of the community for years, there will be something suitable for everyone
1. Adults (minimum no 12, no maximum no - age 18+)
The Hell & Back Experience — €39pp
A supportive, team-based adventure inspired by HELL & BACK, designed around encouragement rather than competition. Groups work together across a 5–7km course that can be shortened or adapted as needed.
Expect woodland trails, water crossings, climbing challenges and plenty of helping hands along the way. The day finishes with the famous Halfpipe Ramp, where teamwork makes the difference.
Participants can skip obstacles at any time — the focus is participation, not pressure
2. Kids & Parents (minimum no 16, maximum 64 - age 8+)
4 Zone Warrior Circuit — €32pp
Participants rotate around four activity zones, spending roughly 30 minutes in each.
Zones include:
All Tyred Out – Tyre Relay Challenge & Tug of War
Forest Zone – Hang Tough & Backs Against the Wall
Team Building Zone – Featuring the Black Pearl Assault Course
Eliminator Zone – 5ft Walls, A-Frames, Balance Beans & the Halfpipe Ramp finale.
A fun, energetic option for families who want a bit of action without a long course.
3. Younger Children (minimum no 10, no maximum - age 5-7) - €25pp
Gentle, guided activities designed especially for younger participants, including treasure hunts, code-breaking challenges and games.
4. Spectators — €10pp

- Resource allocation: Once numbers are confirmed, we allocate staff, instructors, access to obstacles and facilities, and schedule slots.
- Cancellations & no-shows: As we reserve capacity and may turn away other groups, last-minute cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable.
- Payment: We do not offer pay-on-the-day options for corporate bookings. Advance planning ensures the safety, quality, and smooth experience of every group.
- Weather policy: Activities operate rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for Irish weather. If Met Éireann issues an orange weather warning, we will contact you to discuss alternative arrangements.
CHECK-IN POLICY
- Please aim to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. This allows time for parking, check-in, and getting your group organised.
- Plan extra travel time: The Bray area and Southern Cross Road can experience heavy traffic, particularly on weekends.
- Check-in begins promptly at your scheduled start time. Arriving on time ensures you get the full experience.

- Late arrivals will have reduced activity time due to scheduling constraints.
- Hand sanitiser is available throughout the venue for your convenience.
- If any participant has a medical condition (e.g., asthma, hay fever, diabetes), please inform your instructor prior to the activity.
- All activities are fully risk-assessed by Alive Outside’s Health & Safety consultants
