Designed as the ultimate pre-season experience for elite teams, this challenge is not about individual glory. Your squad must communicate and support each other and perform under fatigue, exactly the traits that transfer directly to stronger performances on the pitch, court or track.

Set on the stunning 800-acre Killruddery Estate, your squad will be led by one of our expert instructors through a demanding 7-10KM course, featuring over 60 challenging obstacles inspired by HELL & BACK and Ireland's Fittest Family. Total Time Onsite = 2.5 hours

  1. Arrival & Check-In: Arrive 15 minutes before your start time to allow for parking, toilet breaks and organisation.
  2. Health & Safety Briefing: Short briefing to ensure everyone knows what to expect.
  3. The Challenge (1.5–2 hours): Tackle the 7-10KM instructor-led course at a strong team pace, combining running, lifting and problem-solving. No one is left behind and teamwork is required throughout.
  4. Woodland Chill-Out (30 minutes): Relax and refuel together in our Woodland Zone, with the option to bring your own snacks and drinks or arrange pizza delivery.
  • Buses and cars can drive directly to the Alive Outside gate for drop-off and collection.
  • Killruddery Estate has multiple entrances - ensure drivers follow signs for Alive Outside!

  • Clothing:
    • Tracksuit or sports kit (no jeans or good clothes!)
    • Extra layers in cooler weather - baselayer recommended
  • Footwear:
    • Trail runners with grip or astro boots
  • Essentials:
    • Change of clothes & shoes (you may get wet and mucky doing the assault course)
    • Towel
    • Light rain jacket
    • Backpack for gear
  • Food & Drink:
    • Snacks to refuel
    • Plenty of drinking water - hydration is essential!

  • Showers (basic wash-down only). If you'd like a shower afterwards, get in touch with Shoreline Leisure Centre Bray on Southern Cross Road, a 2 minute drive from the main entrance to Killruddery, and enquire about dropping in afterwards for a shower and swim etc.

Cancellation Policy

  • Final Numbers & Payment: Final participant numbers must be confirmed and paid in full at least 7 days before your visit. You can update your numbers and pay any outstanding balance online up until this deadline.
  • Staffing & Resources: Once numbers are confirmed, we allocate instructors, equipment, facilities and schedule slots to your group. As capacity is reserved and other groups may be turned away, we cannot refund late cancellations or no-shows.
  • No Pay-on-the-Day: We do not offer “pay-on-the-day” options for group bookings. Our operations rely on advance planning to ensure safety, quality and a smooth experience for every group.
  • Accuracy of Numbers: Please ensure your participant numbers are correct at the 7-day deadline. Refunds cannot be given - and additional participants cannot be added - after this point.
  • Weather Policy: We operate rain or shine so please dress appropriately for the Irish climate. If Met Éireann issues an orange weather warning, we will contact you directly to discuss alternative arrangements.

Check-In Policy

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow for parking, toilets, getting organised and preparing for your session.
  • Allow extra travel time, as the Bray area and Southern Cross Road can be very busy, particularly on weekends.
  • Check-in starts exactly at your scheduled time, so please arrive promptly to make the most of your experience.
  • Late arrivals may experience reduced activity time due to scheduling constraints.
  • All participants must complete the digital waiver form prior to arrival. Participation is not permitted without a completed waiver.
  • Your instructor will begin with a Health & Safety briefing and an overview of the activities, then guide you to the bag drop area before bringing you to the Start Line.
  • Before starting, please inform your instructor of any relevant medical conditions, such as asthma, diabetes or allergies.
  • Participants are welcome to explore Killruddery Yard, a short 5-minute walk away, before or after the adventure, which features a Coffee Shop, Pizza Shed and Farm Shop.
  • Coaches and trainers are very welcome to join in the activities - simply add them to the total participant numbers.
  • This activity lasts 2 hours so, including 30 mins chill out time afterwards in our Woodland Hangout, your group will be onsite for 2.5 hours in total. 
  • All activities have been fully risk-assessed by Alive Outside's Health & Safety consultant.
  • Experienced instructors supervise every group and provide clear workarounds where needed to keep everyone moving and safe.
  • Please follow all instructor guidance and report any injuries or medical concerns immediately.
  • Changing facilities are rustic and practical with basic wash-down areas only.
  • Alive Outside is located on a working farm so, when they get home, all participants should shower, change into fresh clothes and wash worn clothing thoroughly before reuse.
