Splash Zone Birthday Parties for Ages 8+ 

• Comfortable footwear: Ideal for the walk to the lake. Trail runners are best; astro boots work too. No flip-flops.
• Rain jacket: For those unexpected sprinkles!
• Wetsuit: If you have one – the lake can be chilly even in summer.
• Towel: For drying off after the fun.
• Warm clothes: A hoodie and tracksuit bottoms to change into afterwards.
• Change of shoes: Old runners are required for water activities so bring a spare pair to wear afterwards.
• Backpack: To carry your gear. Place your change of clothes, towel and shoes in a plastic bag inside your backpack to keep them dry.
• Snacks: To refuel afterwards.
• Mobile phone: For capturing memories. Ask your Instructor for help with photos!
• Drinking water: Stay hydrated during the adventure.
• Sun cream: Protect against the sun, even on cloudy days.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Final Numbers & Payment: Final participant numbers must be confirmed and paid in full at least 7 days before your visit. You can update your numbers and pay any outstanding balance online up until this deadline.
• Staffing & Resources: Once numbers are confirmed, we allocate instructors, equipment, facilities and schedule slots to your group. As capacity is reserved and other groups may be turned away, we cannot refund late cancellations or no-shows.
• No Pay-on-the-Day: We do not offer “pay-on-the-day” options for group bookings. Our operations rely on advance planning to ensure safety, quality and a smooth experience for every group.
• Accuracy of Numbers: Please ensure your participant numbers are correct at the 7-day deadline. Refunds cannot be given - and additional children cannot be added - after this point.
• Weather Policy: We operate rain or shine so please dress appropriately for the Irish climate. If Met Éireann issues an orange weather warning, we will contact you directly to discuss alternative arrangements.

CHECK-IN POLICY

• Please aim to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time to allow for parking and to get everyone organised.
• Allow extra travel time, as the Bray area and Southern Cross Road can be very busy, particularly at weekends.
• Check-in begins at your exact start time, so arriving promptly ensures you get the full experience.
• Your instructor will guide you on a 10-minute walk to Splash Zone in the centre of Killruddery Estate, followed by a Health & Safety briefing.
• Late arrivals may have reduced activity time due to scheduling limitations.
• Hand sanitiser is available throughout—please use it whenever needed.
• If any child has a medical condition (e.g., asthma, hay fever, diabetes), please inform your instructor.

FINAL NUMBERS
To secure your party date and time, simply purchase a minimum of 20 tickets. Please confirm your final numbers and settle any remaining balance at least 7 working days before the birthday party so we can arrange the right number of instructors.

WAIVER FORMS
Each child attending will need a signed digital waiver. Follow the instructions in your confirmation email to share the weblink with other parents. For health and safety reasons, only children with completed waiver forms can join the party activities. 

GETTING READY FOR SPLASH ZONE

• Splash Zone is located at the heart of Killruddery Estate, about a 10-minute walk from the Adventure Centre entrance.
• Basic changing rooms are available on arrival, but keep in mind that Killruddery is a working farm, so don't expect luxury!
• Make sure everyone brings a towel, a full change of clothes and suitable footwear, as shoes must be worn in the water at all times.
• Avoid leaving valuables in the changing rooms.
• Once changed into their swimwear, the lifeguards will fit each child with a buoyancy aid, which is mandatory for everyone, regardless of swimming ability.
• Lifeguards are then stationed on the bank and in the water on kayaks to ensure safety.
• After 90 minutes of water fun, participants should change into dry clothes before the walk back to the main entrance.

FOOD OPTIONS
For just €50, you can have an additional 30 minutes at the Lake. Whether you bring birthday cake, snacks, a mix of treats or get pizza delivered (eg Dominos Bray 01 2828888) - it's completely up to you to decide on the menu for your celebration!

KILLRUDDERY YARD
During your visit, don’t miss a chance to stop by Killruddery Yard - just a quick 2-minute walk from our Adventure Centre. Open seven days a week, it offers something for everyone with its Coffee Shop, Pizza Shed, The Grain Store and Farm Shop. WHEN YOU GET HOME
Have kids shower and change into fresh clothes once they’re back home and wash all swimming gear and clothese thoroughly before wearing again.
